The ancient Manor was mentioned 1227 for the first time as an important testimony of wine culture in South Tyrol.
In 1860, the first Pinot Noir vine in South Tyrol was planted here. Since then, the noble vines Riesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon can be found in this region. The viniculture museum and the Castle’s wine cellars can be visited daily from Mon to Fri. In addition, you can participate in a guided wine tasting tour at 4.30 p.m. in the Vinothek, including a stroll through the vineyards. The duration of the guided tour is approx. 90 minutes.
