Outside a classical front with Art Nouveau elements, inside all pompous Art Nouveau – a visit to the Merano theatre is something truly special; here you can see a variety of concerts and theatre performances all year round. The flair is unique and the auditorium of manageable size (with parquet flooring, beautiful loges and spectacular higher ranks) offers seat rows covered in cherry red pillows and carpets – magnificent!

In the heart of the Old Town, in the romantic gallery alley, you find Kunst Meran/Merano Arte, a museum for modern art. About 500 m² offer the stage for works in the fields of fine art, architecture, literature, music, photography and the new media – a whole range of variety.

Golfing

Passionate golfers will find themselves in heaven in the Hotel Burggräflerhof [LINK Home]. There are not one, but two beautiful golf courses in the proximity of our hotel: the Golfclub Lana (ca. 20 min. by car) and the Golf Club Passiria/Passeier-Merano/Meran (ca. 30 minutes’ drive). Here, you can play from February until December on perfectly tended lawns with a great view to the surrounding South Tyrolean mountains.

Waalwege
Waalwege

Walk along the ancient field irrigation systems, the so-called “Waale”, on easy trails – the Waalwege. Here, strolls are not only leisurely, but also undeniably idyllic, so also on the Maiser Waalweg. The trails lead you over meadows, across orchards and forests and you find peace in the magical nature.
