Sights in Merano/Meran and surroundings are Juval Castle in Naturno/Naturns which is the home for one of the Messner Mountain Museums and the summer residence of the celebrated mountaineer Reinhold Messner. Rablà/Rabland impresses with a Railway World: Over 1.000 m² offer the stage for model railways and a miniature South Tyrol. The neighbouring village Parcines/Partschins holds a highlight for writing fans: typewriters from different centuries. Do not forget the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano/Bozen where you can visit the Iceman Ötzi.
