Burggräflerhof’s rules for dogs
Anyone travelling with a dog would prefer to spend their holiday together. Your four-legged friend is therefore very welcome at Burggräflerhof. To ensure that both two-legged and four-legged guests feel equally at home, we have set aside certain rooms specifically for stays with dogs.
Please let us know when you make your booking that your dog will be travelling with you. Accommodation is available only subject to prior booking and our express confirmation. This is the only way we can offer you a suitable room and – subject to availability – a suitable table in our Zirben Stube.
We charge €30.00 per dog per night. This includes accommodation with you in one of our rooms set aside for this purpose, as well as a thorough, specialised final clean following your stay.
Nobody likes to be left on their own – not even at dinner. On request, and subject to availability, we will therefore be happy to reserve a suitable table for you in our Zirben Stube for breakfast and dinner. Your dog can make itself comfortable there with you.
As the number of these tables islimited, it is best to let us know when you make your booking if you would like your dog to join you for meals.
Walks through the surrounding nature, paths winding through vineyards and apple orchards, and plenty of time spent together in the fresh air: when you’re on holiday with your dog, being out and about is all part of the experience. Please remember to pick up after your dog when you’re outside. We provide dog waste bags free of charge. When you return, you can simply dispose of them in the bin provided outside the hotel.
Your four-legged friend is also welcome to join you in the garden. There are a number of designated areas where you can enjoy spending time together outdoors. Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the garden to ensure a relaxed atmosphere for all guests. On warm days, we recommend that you don’t let your dog stay out in the garden for too long. It’s simply cosier in a pleasantly cool room.
If your dog needs a shower after plenty of playing and running about in Merano and the surrounding area, the hose in our garden is available at any time.
To ensure that all our guests – both two-legged and four-legged – feel truly at home, dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the hotel and in the garden. That way, everyone can get on together in a relaxed atmosphere.
While you relax in the spa area, your dog is welcome to take a break in your room. For hygiene reasons, dogs arenot permitted anywhere in the wellness area, including the sauna and pool.
Should you require veterinary care during your stay, there are several vets in Merano, for example:
- Veterinärmedizinisches Zentrum Meran VZM, Via J. Speckbacher 15/B, Merano, Tel. +39 0473 693393
- Tierärztliche Klinik Hippodrom, Via Scuderie 37, Merano, Tel. +39 0473 220022
- Tierärztliches Ambulatorium Merano – Spampinato and Frühauf, Via Roma 60, Merano, Tel. +39 0473 238348
Do you need any extra towels for your dog, or is there anything else we can do for you or your four-legged friend? Our reception team will be happy to help you.
We look forward to welcoming you and your dog to Burggräflerhof, and we hope you’ll have a relaxing break together in Merano.
